At our last professional technical meeting, we had a fascinating presentation by Walter Bril, Customer Success Manager for Elements.cloud on generative AI (GenAI) and its impact.

He emphasized how extremely difficult it is to change human thought models and habits and how technology can both accelerate and enhance these processes. Walter posed the question, What are we achieving with increasingly powerful tools while thinking in outdated models?

He discussed both the positives, such as faster data processing, and the negatives, such as faster failure. Walter advised critical thinking about GenAI, including asking the right questions (To Prompt or Not to prompt). He emphasized that as experts, we must maintain control and use technology responsibly. In the end, it's all about: "Build the right thing. Then build the thing right “
