Introducing...

My name is Leontine Monsewije and I live in Maastricht. In my spare time, I enjoy getting on my bike to cycle through the Limburg Hills, or I pick up a good book.

After studying Tax Law and Dutch Law (specialising in corporate law) at Tilburg University, I started working as a tax lawyer. In doing so, I have gained experience in both the international business sector and SME consultancy.

What appeals to me about this profession is that you never stop learning. Staying up to date is an ongoing process: it’s not just about keeping abreast of new legislation, but also about thinking ahead. After all, the world of taxation never stands still, and it is precisely that dynamism that makes the work interesting to me. At Tripolis, we challenge one another to look further ahead: what does the future hold for our clients, and how can we prepare them for it today?

For me, personal contact is key. Every business has a story behind it, and behind every tax issue there are often a few more questions. By asking the right questions and taking the time to understand the business owner and their situation, you can get to the heart of the matter more quickly. This allows both opportunities and risks to be identified in good time.

My role as a junior consultant is to translate complex tax and legal issues into clear and practical advice, so that business owners can focus on what they do best: running their businesses.

At Tripolis, I will be primarily supporting our Insight clients.
